Mattresses, Couches Illegal Dumped In Gettysburg Battlefield: Police

A national landmark was confused with a garage dump on Monday night.

Someone illegally dumped two couches, three mattresses, a box spring, and a metal bed frame in Gettysburg Battlefield near Long Lane at Sunset Avenue on Monday around 8 p.m., according to Gettysburg Borough police.

Investigators were provided with the registration number of a vehicle allegedly involved with the dumping, according to a Facebook post by the police.

The dumper is being asked to “please remove these items immediately or face criminal charges," police write in the post.
